Create for ICP Rainbow Challenge

Do you enjoy creating?

This competition has finished. See our Facebook page for the winners.

Would you like to help ICP Support?

Then we have the perfect challenge for you! Why not enter our ‘Create for ICP Rainbow Challenge’? It couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is create – it could be a painting, a sculpture, a collage or any artistic medium you like – anything with the theme of rainbows. Have fun with your children to see who can be the most creative. Or, if you are feeling really competitive, enter on yourself!

Rules

There are four age categories:

  • up to 4 years
  • 5–10 years
  • 11–18 years
  • Adults

All work submitted must be the work of the child (or adult for the last category) entering the competition.

What can I use?

You can use any medium, or combination of media, you like (but not video); for example:

  • Paint
  • Crayon
  • Pencil
  • Sculpture
  • Collage
  • Photography
  • Digital media

You can use any form of digital manipulation to enhance your images.

Some ideas!

Our webmaster has been playing around with rainbow colours and the ICP Support logo:

And here are a few more ideas to inspire you:

Butterfly heart

Lego

Whatever you do, be creative! Don’t just draw a rainbow – let your imagination run free!

How to enter

To enter, create something that has a rainbow theme and pay £5 per entry at:

Virgin Money Giving

You’ll be asked for the name and age of the entrant when you enter.

Once you have entered, send a picture of your artwork to rainbow@icpsupport.org with the name and age group of the artist (so that we can match it up with your entry). You can also send a separate picture of the artist if you are happy for them to appear on social media. Please make all pictures as high resolution as possible.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 21 June 2020.

Judging and voting

Shortlists of five entries for each age group will be selected by Emma Housley, a professional artist from Somerset. We’ll post each shortlist on Facebook and Instagram for you to share with your friends and vote for your favourites.

It would be fantastic if you could take photos or videos of what you’re doing and tag us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Share with family and friends to help you and your little one win. Prizes will be awarded on Saturday 27 June (to allow time for judging and voting) and winners notified.
