Funding research

As a charity we are committed to supporting and funding research. Before we were formally registered as a charity, almost £40,000 had been donated to research into ICP. More recently, we have donated a further £12,500 that is helping to support two studies.

At present we do not have large sums of money available, but we are happy to be contacted by researchers who have a special interest in intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

Any expressions of interest should be sent to research@icpsupport.org, giving brief details of the proposed research and the level of funding required. Applications are welcome from research groups anywhere in the world.

One member of our Board (Dr Peter Dixon) and our CEO, Jenny Chambers, currently work in research into the condition. To avoid any conflicts of interest any applications will be reviewed by a specialist outside our organisation.
